We recently found our PC to very sluggish and IE kept crashing. So we reinstalled IE 7, and that did not help the problem. We ran a registry cleaner, and it found almost 100 errant entries from old programs that were slowing down our PC and taking up resources.
Here are some of the signs:
- Installs or uninstalls software very often.
- Have third party programs running such as Spyware and Adware (you can’t stop these from being installed)

Most registry cleaners have registry backup automatically for you, but be sure to check them out. Remember, don’t try to edit anything in the registry yourself unless you are very computer savvy.
