Free Advertising in Search Engines

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

I think most people are failing these days with online programs, because they fail to market their programs properly. Promoting your program to the most people possible is the first step every marketer should take. The 2nd step should be to find a targeted audience that will benefit from your product or service the most. You will find that targeting an audience has great rewards and you don’t have to drive as much traffic to your website or programs when you go this route.

How do I target my traffic? I think the best way is to let people target you; instead of you targeting them. How does this work? It’s really simple if you use the search engines and this is the best way to get free traffic and targeted traffic too.

People come to the search engines looking for a specific item and when you can have your website listed there; this is what will benefit you and them the most. It’s not an overnight process and it does take time to get listed high on search engines for key search terms related to your product or service.

If you use links and other methods of advertising focusing on these key search terms, you will eventually witness your website climbing the charts in the search engines. Getting on the first page is important and most people don’t ever look at the 2nd page of the search results. Once you make your way to the first page for a specific search term; that’s when you can start to tweak things and try to make the climb to number 1. I have received great traffic and results by being listed 2nd or 3r on the first page, so being number 1 isn’t a “must” for most marketers.

Learn how to get your website moving up the rankings and try to pick up on as many SEO tips as you can. SEO is “Search Engine Optimization” and this is the magical highway to success for most online programs. Free traffic is always nice, but the search engines provide more than this, by giving you targeted traffic and this type of targeted traffic comes looking for you!
