This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of DiscoverLosAngeles.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

There is a lot of people that like to travel to a special destination on New Years Eve in America. If you’re one of these people, you may want to change your plans and head to Los Angeles, California. It doesn’t always have to be the East Coast or the Big Apple in New York City. You can have just as much fun in sunny LA and do without the cold temperatures in New York.

The Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles is one of the places you could choose to stay at for this New Years Day celebration. They have an awesome pool visitors can enjoy and this is one way you could splash in the 2010 year. This is only one of the many great los angeles hotels you and your family or friends could choose from; if you do decide to head west for New Years Day. Don’t try to make the drive or flight there and come home after the celebrations have ended. You will be too tired for a quick return, so a hotel in L.A. is a must for everyone.

If you come to L.A. you probably want to see famous people. The place you’re most likely to see a big Hollywood star celebrating their New Years Eve parties, would have to be at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles located in Beverly Hills. This is a favorite for the locals and the locals happen to be big time celebrities. Now no midnight celebrations would be complete without a few fireworks going off, right? The best view in L.A. would probably be found on the top of the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles. Not only do you get the best view of the city, but this would be the best place to watch the fireworks; regardless of where they get lit from. Don’t forget to eat while visiting Los Angeles and if food is on your mind, you could check out a restaurant called the Cut. It’s located in the heart of Beverly Hills at the Beverly Wilshire (who just completed a nice 35 million dollar renovation). It’s a lot like the Four Seasons hotel and another hot spot to catch a glimpse of someone whose famous.

Now doesn’t the hotels in los angeles sound like fun for next week’s celebrations? Don’t forget the time difference for those of you living in the middle and on the East Coast. Los Angeles celebrates it’s New Years Day just like New York City or Dallas does at midnight. It just takes LA a little more time to reach that magical hour and it will be 3 AM EST; when the fireworks go off in Los Angeles, California. I hope you have a blast this year and if you’re on the streets of LA; then I know you will be! Here are some of the more specific details on the LA new year’s eve hotel specials travelers can find this year:
