One of this years vacation destinations will be Yosemite National Park. We recently moved from the East coast to Washington State and I have always wanted to travel to Wyoming and view Yosemite Park. The one that I have read about is that it is better to stay within the park and camp there as the lines to get in and out of the park can average a couple of hours. So several things that we have learned in our online hunt for things to do and things to avoid are:
Great adventures are available all year, from snow boarding and snowshoeing in the winter to hiking and swimming in the summer. They even offer the Wawona gold course and an ice skating rink at Curry Village.
Plan to visit the Mariposa Grove which is located 36 miles south of Yosemite Valley. This is the largest stand of giant sequoias (also known as Sierra redwoods or big trees) in Yosemite. The road is not kept or plowed in the winter so cars cannot access. The Grove is accessible through the summer months. In the winter it can be accessed if you ski or hike in to view the natural beauty of these rare and disappearing resources.

Those looking to incorporate a great self awareness workshop should check out The Lotus Path Workshops. These are a series of spiritual workshops that take anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours and can help you connect with your self. Some of the objectives is to get you to realize how the past can influence the present and how to make the right connection.
