Rob Zombie Meets Michael Myers
Social Source August 8th, 2007More people might be aware of Rob Zombie the musician instead of Rob Zombie the director. He started out as a musician with the band White Zombie. Now it appears that you see his name associated more with movies than with his music. He did a couple of movies that had a very gruesome story line and wasn’t necessarily for all members of the family. The kids might of had a little trouble sleeping if they would have caught a glimpse of House of 1000 Corpses or the Devil’s Rejects. Now I believe Mr. Zombie will be having a lot of fun with his latest project that is set to open on August 31st of 2007.
I am really excited to see this new movie from the Halloween Series. These movies and all of the Friday the 13th movies (except for part 5) are some of my favorite horror movies of all time. Just go ahead and throw Freddy Krueger’s Movies in and you really would have a collection of all my favorite horror movies. Now the first Halloween movie was really good. That might be my top movie of all-time! The Jamie Lee Curtis being a baby-sitter and at the end they shoot Michael Myers to death and he falls over the balcony and lays dead on the ground. Only to see the old man comes back to the balcony for one more look at Michael’s dead body and he sees that he is gone! Then you hear that famous music and it goes off!
The first Halloween was truly a good movie from beginning to end, with probably the most famous horror music in any movie. It has to rank up there with the little Nightmare on Elm Street’s counting song they do with the man that has knives as fingers.
It appears from the previews and trailer of this movie that they are going to take us to more of the beginning of Michael’s life. The other Halloween movies give us small glances of his early childhood days, but really don’t build a stairway up to what he eventually becomes, as the killing machine from hell that can’t be stopped! I’m not for sure, but it just seems like this will be more about Michael as a child than an adult in Halloween the movie.
So what are your favorite horror movies of all-time? Do you like all the other Halloween Movies as much as I do? Please be sure to let me know and are you planning on making a special trip to the movie theatres on August 31st to see this movie? That will be the first day that the public will have a chance to see this Halloween picture. I would fully expect this movie to break a lot of records on opening weekend and don’t be surprised to see it up there with Freddy .vs. Jason as that picture did real well on it’s opening weekend. The holiday Halloween is still going to be 2 full months away from when this movie opens. I bet it will still be playing on the big screens, and don’t be surprised to see the holiday season give this movie it’s 2nd wind in late October!
