Light Pollution: Greater Problem Than Most Know

The stars are wonderful to see and this is how early man would pass their time at night. I know in my area of North Georgia we have seen less lightning bugs than we use to have. I think this is a direct cause of light pollution and lights at night do hurt some forms of nature. Most hotels along the coast have shades over their lights to help the sea turtles continue to thrive in the oceans. We need more efforts like this to help protect nature and to help us see the stars and other things in the night time skies. Try to learn more about light pollution and ways that you can help prevent it at your household. It’s all the small steps that lead to major changes and we do need to start reducing our light pollution at night.
