If you don’t have a few kids that have tons of candy laying around after their trick or treating adventures, you should be able to find some good sales right now. Stores stock up heavy on the sweet stuff before Halloween, so they won’t run out from the heavy demand that comes from shoppers. Not all stores sell their candy and have more than they normally would. A lot of people won’t need to buy candy for a few weeks, so the demand is really weak right now. The stores don’t want to take a total loss on their supply of candy, so they will discount their items to try and recover some of the profits. This is where the smart buyers come into play and they can really rack up on some cheap candy right now.

This method of buying after holidays can be used for other things too. If you like fireworks and don’t mind when you buy them, buying after the 4th of July is a good time for that. Most firework stores will cut prices after the 4th of July so they can open some space up in their stores. You can buy your fireworks on July 5th or later and shoot them off on New Year’s Eve. You can go to the firework stores in early January and stock up on them for the 4th of July. So you can be a smart consumer in the world of fireworks if you just will buy them 2 times a year. The Christmas decorations and lights work the same way and you can really find good deals on Christmas items on December 26th or later. Just buy them after Christmas and put them away in the basement or attic and you will have all your Christmas stuff for next year. Try to think of other holidays you can do this with and feel free to share them. Please reply back with all the suggestions you can think up, when certain items might be cheaper after their holiday has passed.
