Google has recently changed its PR Rankings and it seems to be updating more frequently now. We use to get new rankings about every 3 months and now they are changing constantly. Some websites that had high rankings are now finding their new PR Rankings near the bottom of the pack. It appears that Google is now taking a much tougher stance to those websites that have paid ads on them. It seems to conflict their own interests and their big advertising market for Google Adsense Ads. MSN and Yahoo are the other two big players in the search engine market. They have both been trying to catch up to Google and it also seems that Google was one step ahead of them.

The new change in their PR Ranking system might affect the popularity of Google and many blog owners are now washing their hands with Google. Google is their own company and they have been setting the trend to how search engines are used today. Google is responsible for most websites traffic. They bring in tons of traffic more to many websites than all the other search engine players added together. So Google is definitely a search engine you want to be in good terms with. Even if you don’t agree with everything they do, you can still benefit by their large database of information that millions of people use everyday to help them find things on the World Wide Web.

Many advertisers have used these PR Rankings to help them determine which websites they want to advertise on. Some advertisers may not be aware of the dramatic changes in Google’s philosphy, but they will soon learn that very few websites now have that high Google ranking. So in time everything will balance out and the people that manage to find the high rankings in Google’s system, will once again be the elite websites on the internet.
