1-800-Flowers.com has just finished up a contest for “Celebrate Mom For Who She Is” and they have all their entries in. Now comes the task of picking the greatest mom out of all the finalists that are left. The final mom will be rewarded nicely and it’s going to feel like Mother’s Day for this lucky winner! I took the time and read through the final moms that are left and they all are deserving of the prize. I really didn’t know which category I was going to vote in and you can pick 1 mom from several different categories. The categories that are listed for these moms are Red Carpet Mom, Gourmet Mom, Green Thumb Mom, Planet Friendly Mom and Mr. Mom. I really didn’t need to decide on a category when I read one of the entries that were in the contest. The entry talked about a mom that attended all the sporting events for the children and that is saying something when there were 8 children in the household! Also this mom was on the police force of a major city, so this mom was out protecting the public and still managed to get 8 kids raised at home. The amazing part to this story is that this mom had no help with the family! This was a mom that was listed in the “Mr. Mom” category and while he was very much a mom to the kids, he also was the dad of the household. His wife passed away and this man found the time to provide for his family and found the time to attend all the events in their lives while going up. So it was an easy choice to see that the greatest mom in this contest is William B. from Acworth, Georgia!
