I always thought it was funny in the past when gas prices would go higher. Most people would stop going out to eat or wouldn’t go to the movies why gas prices were up. It seemed like everyone would cut out other things in their life, but driving less was not one of them. Now prices are around $4 a gallon in most places and people have no choice now, they have to stay at home more. I know I have not made trips recently because of the high gas prices that just keep going up. I believe gas prices are going to keep going higher and they will probably level off at the $4.40 a gallon mark for this summer. Prices will drop again in the fall, but look for next summer to see the prices go back up again. I believe the way things stand right now; we should be look at $5.75 a gallon for the summer of 2009. So why 4 dollars might seem like a lot this year, let’s just be thankful that it is still under 5 dollars a gallon. A new president isn’t going to affect the oil prices and this is mainly due to the fact that the world-wide supply of oil is running out. Gas prices will never be under 2 dollars a gallon again!

well, I can afford to drive with my small Chevy Corsica, and it seems many others can too. I just need to see the fleet of SUV’s and bulky pick-ups on the road, the people who have nothing better to do than to smash on the gas pedal for a screeching lift off at the lights, the people who haven’t heard about car pooling, and all the others who think traveling for the holidays is a must. It seems gas prices are not high enough for people to come to their senses. I did something about those high gas prices (and all these other high prices on food, clothing… etc). I installed a water to gas converter on my car (see my website http://vicky1959.googlepages.com/home ) and only need half the gas I used to buy, I stopped buying clothes at Wal-Mart and other stores who’s prices are outrageous to begin with ( I only buy clothes when they are on sale- and I mean deeply discounted !), I buy my food at Aldi’s, which is much, much cheaper and has just as much good food as all the other stores, and when I buy gas, it is in a state where it sells much cheaper. I drive a big truck, so I can afford to bring a 10 gallon canister with me and fill it up with gas in the cheapest state on the way back home.
So as long as people act unconcerned about the gas prices, they’ll go up by the day.
