Dish Network Refuses Customer Service

The satellite company of Dish Network has refused to answer any questions through their email support. They just keep directing you to their phone support. I’m not sure why they offer an email support service when all they do is send you to the phone support system.

After getting my original questions directed to phone support, I sent in other questions that were very easy to answer just to see what kind of response I got. No matter how simple the question I sent in was, it still got directed to the Dish Network phone support.

I’m not sure why Dish Network offers an email support system when they refuse not to answer any questions from it. If you are an employee at Dish Network and you work from the support system by phone, you might want to know the email support guys just send all questions your way. If I was you, I would start directing my callers to the email support from Dish Network Satellite Company. Those guys are making you work harder than you have to.

The new HD (high definition) promotion that Dish Network is currently running has no support with it. They make it look like they do, with a simple to use contact button on their website. When you click it on, it has “HD Programming” in the title, so you know it’s going straight to the high definition support from Dishnetwork. However, once you ask them a question through it, they just tell you they can’t answer that here, and that you will have to contact phone support.

Guess what? Dish Network just lost a HD upgrade from me, and I am right now checking out Direct TV’s offers and promotions and I might just change satellite companies all together. I would not suggest using Dish Network if you are looking for a satellite provider. Just go with Direct TV, because there will be times you need support and Dish Network isn’t going to give it to you. They outsource their support services overseas, so not only do you have to speak to someone that has poor english, but you have to do it because the guys in the email support are just milking the clock and won’t help you at all!

Nice write-up. Glad to have contributed to the pile of Dish complaints!

I had a problem with Dish and took it to Court. The JP screwed the original case up then has acted in a questionable manner after se refiled it due to her earlier error. They offered me a settlement by phone which I urned down. The JP issued a default judgment for the exact amount that Dish offered. I left a voice mail message for the Dish paralegal and that day the JP signed an order setting aside her reduced judgment the next day I received that notice. Duh – could the JP and the paralegal be talking without Plaintiffs knowledge? Since the amount offered and listed in the judgment was identical I would think so.

If you have had dealings with Dish network esp. with the $199. offer below or know anyone who has had this type offer that Dish failed to live up to I would like to hear about it.

Dish offered a special program – asking for $199 up front deposit or to buy the receivers then said they would refund it at $10 a month. Once signed up they said it was to be refunded at $5 a month and said he sales people may have made a mistake. This happened to me in early 2006 and to a neighbor less that 8 or 10 months later. If it can happen in this little community with under 1000 population I wonder how many other people had this happen.

Please let me know if this happened to you and someone you know.
