Nice job!

Not an easy song to sing, but Alex pulls it off! In the comments for this video over at YouTube Alex says “U CAN STAND UNDER MY UMBRELLA WHEN U NEED SOMEONE, OK?” I think they will be a lot of people standing under Alex’s umbrella one day, as she continues to make her way up the YouTube charts.

Alex didn’t just stop at that video. She decided to put out another video and this one was a request she did. It’s an Avril Lavigne song and she did a great job with it!

Alex Telling More About Her

We get to learn more about the young YouTube sensation; as Alex breaks down more things about herself. She talks about her favorite foods and drinks and so much more. It’s a chance to learn more about Alex and see what life is like in Mexico for her.

It’s been a little over 3 months now since Alex has made her debut on my blog. This is one of the best videos so far and you really get a chance to know her more through this video. You can see just how this Sensation from YouTube was destined for music; since her parents had such a strong musical influence in her life. It’s nice to take a break from the singing every once in awhile and see Alex as herself.

Now Alex is looking for requests and suggestions on what you would like to see her do on YouTube. Any song requests or maybe a question you would like to know about Alex. Leave a reply and I’m sure when Alex has a chance she will do her best to upload your answers or requests at You Tube. Now Alex is currently in school and this video is slightly dated back, so her time is limited right now. Coming soon we will find out how high school life is treating the Teen Sensation from just outside of Mexico City.

Alex has a couple of new videos out of her singing over at YouTube. The young YouTube Sensation continues to show a great singing voice; singing some difficult songs to sing. This first video is from an Avril Lavigne song. Alex does a great job singing Avril songs as she has shown in the past.

This next video is a song by Evanescence. It takes an amazing vocal range to perform this song and Alex does a great job singing it. I don’t think too many singers could pull this song off as well as Alex did on her webcam at YouTube.

While I have been able to sit back and talk about all of Alex’s videos on YouTube, she now has the chance to talk about mine. After all these weeks of breaking down each of her videos, she gets to have a little fun with me and comment on me at YouTube.

Back in May I won a television with PayPerPost. It’s a company that connects bloggers with advertisers. Advertisers are quickly learning all the power that bloggers have on the computer and are using them to help promote their products. Bloggers will take some type of compensation from the advertisers or a company like PayPerPost and will write up articles on their products or services. Bloggers will include links in their posts that will lead back to the advertiser’s websites. It’s been a powerful way for advertisers to get some advertising, while bloggers have been able to earn money from their blogs.

So when I won this television back in May, PayPerPost decided to do a Postie Patrol on me. They just didn’t let Circuit City or Best Buy bring out my television, they decided to do it their self. So I was surprised and had no idea that PayPerPost was coming to my house that day.

So now the YouTube Sensation from Mexico gets to see me and my mama at YouTube. My daddy was hid and didn’t come out (which was probably smart). So after seeing my video at YouTube, Alex uploaded a video on me and the guys from PayPerPost.

Ok, now you can see why I have her videos on my blog and not me. It’s not too hard to see which one has the most talent here. I guess my big mouth was good for something, but I think I will postpone my career as a YouTuber right now and let Alex continue the great job she is doing!

Also, Alex will be starting high school today! I think she is real excited on starting and I hope everything goes better for her than it did me. I pretty much stayed lost the first week of high school, so maybe Alex has a better sense of direction then me. Good Luck Alex!

The YouTube Sensation from Mexico is continuing to put out great videos. Alex has just unleashed two more videos at YouTube that were both great! Alex is getting ready to start high school and I hope she has the time to continue to put out all these great videos! While we will wish her the best of luck at high school, I hope she doesn’t get too far away from the computer and will have time to sing her songs at YouTube. I’m sure she will have to be spending more time on her studies as high school is a little more demanding than her other school. Good luck to Alex in high school!

Alex had the chance to watch one of her YouTube idols sing a song by Justin Timberlake. Justin Timberlake has recently signed Esemee Denters to a record contract, and there is a video of Esemee singing one of Justin Timberlake’s songs. After Alex had the chance to watch Esemee Denters sing this song, she thought she would give it a try. So the YouTube Sensation uploaded a video at YouTube with her singing the same Justin Timberlake song as Esemee Denters was singing.

ALEX SINGS JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE’S WHAT GOES AROUND

Wow! Such a great job by Alex to sit down and sing a song that a man sings originally. It really doesn’t matter if Alex is singing a man or woman’s song, because Alex has her own special way of making the song; her song. That is something that I see on YouTube a lot and hear the judges on American Idol talk about often. You see singers all the time that don’t make the song theirs. Instead you have people all over You Tube and the singers that perform on American Idol, and all they do is try to copy the original singer of the song.

When you see someone like Britany Spears, Justin Timberlake, Alex the YouTube Sensation, or even Esemee Denters singing one of their songs, then they are singing the song to the way it best suits them. So many people try to copy the way the star singer sings it, that they just end up giving a performance that is less than 100 percent of what they might could have achieved, if they would have only made the song; their song. So for all the singers out there, don’t worry about singing it like the famous singers sung it. Just do the song in your own style and voice and it will come out so much better, then if you tried to mock someone.

When I seen this lastest video by Alex, I was so excited! She did such a great job on this song, and by no means did she try to perform it like Justin Timberlake did. I really like at the beginning when the music starts and Alex gives us a couple of crazy dance moves, and then she let’s us know that she was just joking. It shows that side of Alex that likes to joke and what a good sense of humor she has.

Then when it gets to the part of the song where the singing starts, I really liked how Alex went from her joking mood to humming the beginning noises of the song. Then when the first words of the song are being sung by Alex, she turns right into her webcam and sings the first few lyrics looking directly at her audience. The first 30 seconds of this video was just magical and it couldn’t have been scripted any better, even if Alex took the time to plan it out. It’s just one of those things where everything fell in line and it all came together nicely.

Now the rest of this 4+ minute video was great too! I think this is one of the best videos that Alex has done at YouTube! If it’s not the best, then it would have to be in the top 5. It’s just a great video because Alex sung the song like Alex sings. She didn’t try to lower her voice and sound like that Timberlake feller. She took the music and the words, and sung it in her voice and everybody that gets a chance to watch this video, will be hearing the YouTube Star Alex and not someone trying to sound like Justin Timberlake.

It also looks like the YouTube Sensation Alex is getting comfortable in front of the webcam. We got to see her throwing her arms and hands up quite a bit, as she looks really relaxed in this video. It’s always exciting to see her upload a new video at YouTube, and when you see the way she is improving and how far she has came from those early days on YouTube, it makes it just that much more exciting to see the next video that Alex will have on display for all the YouTubers and people reading Single Source Writing to see! Alex does have other things going on right now in her life, so she can’t upload a new video every single day. We just have to patiently sit back and see what new video she will upload and see if she will be singing, talking, playing the guitar, or showing us another side of her talents.

It was great that Peanut Butter found Jelly and gave us a great way to eat the two together on those PB&J sandwiches. I think Alex and YouTube are just like Peanut Butter and Jelly, and that they were meant to find each other. Alex starring on YouTube fits just like a glove that was specially made to fit on a certain person’s hand. There’s no doubts that Alex and You Tube are a natural fit! Keep up the great work Rocio (her spanish name)! I can hardly wait to see what you have up your sleeve next Ms. Alex!

Playing the guitar is something I always wanted to learn, but never took the time to sit down and try. I should know how to play one because I have so many friends that know how to play a guitar.

The many talents of the YouTube Sensation from Mexico continues to go strong. Her subscirber rate over at YouTube continues to climb as she has 89 right now and this is from December of 06′ to right now. There’s not many other stars over at YouTube that are shinning any brighter than this 15 year old with her talents being displayed on her webcam. It’s really amazing to watch some of Alex’s earlier videos and to watch her today and see all the progress she has made lately. It is the best of both worlds when you have Alex and Hanna Montana!

ALEX HAS FUN WITH THE HANNA MONTANA THEME SONG

The daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, that is famous for that one song that we all know Achy Breaky Heart, is who Hanna Montana really is. Miley Cyrus has a double lifestyle on the Hanna Montana Show that can be seen on the Disney Channel. She uses her real name “Miley” as a regular teen going to school and is just like any other teen girl. However, her hidden identity in the show that only a few close friends know about, is her stage name Hanna Montana. Hanna is a popular singer in the show and has a big fan following. When Hanna appears on the show she is wearing a blond wig and when Miley is appearing, she uses her natural brown hair color. Miley Cyrus even has her own website and of coarse a MySpace page too in her online activities. She just might be the new bread winner in the family and her dad might have to take a back seat. Billy Ray is still performing and putting out new music, but I’m not sure how well it’s doing for him. He might just be better off playing the dad on Disney’s Hanna Montana (which he really does do) and forget about his music career.

I could see the YouTube Sensation Alex struting her stuff with a show like Miley’s one day. Where she would have the opportunity to play and sing her music while acting in front of an audience. Alex had only learned about Hanna Montana about 24 hours before releasing this video to YouTube. So it’s very impressive just how quickly she was able to take this song and turn around and upload a video with her singing it.

One of the newest YouTube videos to hit the airwaves by Alex is stunning! The little teen from Mexico gets big roars of approval with this latest video! Beauty and magic is all created and released in the same breath, as Alex performs Nelly Furtado’s Say It Right.

Simply Amazing!

Alex is like a race car driver that has been showing us the road, and then suddenly decides to step on the gas pedal and go as fast as she can! After seeing so many of Alex’s videos I thought there was not much that could amaze me anymore, until I saw this one!

She has shown in the past her ability to change her look. She totally captures a whole new image in this video. Now obviously the main thing is with her hair and the way she chose to wear it in this latest video by the You Tube sensation. Alex’s mom actually does not like the way she has her hair in this Nelly video. It is different, but it seems to have that hip look to it. What are your thoughts on Alex’s hair style in this video? Is it a good or bad look for her?

It’s like she grew up overnight in this video. It was as if she went from a 15 year-old-teen to someone that was 20! Alex has been talking and singing with us on her videos before and has really shown us her charm and sense of humor from the earlier videos. No charm, no sense of humor, no nothing in this video, it was all about what she was capable of doing! And man did she do it! Well done Alex!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I’m talking about you all! I think Alex covers a very important topic here and all the girls of the world need to listen up! Alex even shows us her real look, which I think fits her perfect! She also shows her amazing versatility and the ability to give you so many different looks in this one 9 minute video. We always see those movie actors and actresses that star in more than 1 movie. The really good ones can change their whole look and make you think of a totally different character. Sylvester Stallone seems like two different people when he is Rambo or Rocky. Alex has a little of that Stallone magic going on in this video, as she shows different characters and it’s not like your watching the same person.

ALEX COVERS THOSE 6 WORDS

Hey…..nothing wrong with the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin! Two great bands, with one just having the most requested song of all time for radio play (Stairway To Heaven). The YouTube sensation shows us once again, her abilities to adapt to situations and even shows us that she has a little director in her. Her creative outfit changes, that happen in the blink of the eye as we all got to watch this video. I know it must have took some time and effort for Alex to put this video together.

If you have been watching Alex’s videos here at Single Source Writing, then where do you see this talented teen from Mexico headed? Do you see her on MTV or VH1 one day singing in a video? Does she have that actress thing going on, where she might be in a movie, sit com, or maybe a daytime soap opera? I think she has the talent and abilities to go in either direction, or even both if she wanted to. Now if it’s up to her, then she’s going to be the girl on your music videos playing her guitar and rocking the show out! I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone snatch this teen up for promotional purposes. I can see her doing commercials for fashion, automobiles, or maybe even some breakfast cereal. I haven’t quite put my finger on it yet, but I think she’s going to be the face of a product one day. Whatever product it is, they might want to go ahead and include some tunes with it, because I don’t see her giving up this music gig anytime soon!

Ok……..I have to go now, planning a small trip tomorrow and I just realized that I DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO WEAR!

Alex takes a break from singing and writes down 11 questions that she answers for the YouTubers. She also starts campaigning early to be a president of a country. I have heard that it’s it never too early to start making your bid for a presidency, so I think Alex gets off to a good early start in this video. This video is a refreshing way of a youth describing things in the world and how she would like to change things. I’m not sure how Alex came up with these 11 questions, but she didn’t make them easy on her self, and she does a great job of putting her self on display for everyone to see. I don’t think I would have the guts or courage to answer these questions as truthfully and honestly as Alex does in this video. So BIG kudos goes out to Alex for tackling these 11 questions!!!

Throwing on the headphones and turning on her webcam, YouTube sensation Alex uploads another video at YouTube. She added this video back on April 17th and judging by what she says, it appears she is starting to hear feedback from the YouTube community. It wouldn’t be much longer until suggestions would be flying all over her videos; as we are in the middle of her YouTube appearances.

It seems this would be a crucial point in her success at YouTube. She gives me the impression in this video that she is going to start applying her self more. Maybe before this video was released she has just been turning on the webcam and letting things flow, however they came out. I get the impression she is now going to start thinking about what she puts on her YouTube videos. I still see that she is enjoying what she’s doing and is taking pride in what she is now releasing to the YouTube watchers.

Alex Performs 3 Songs by American Idol Star Kelly Clarkson

I wonder if we would even know who Kelly Clarkson was if it wasn’t for American Idol. Do you think Kelly Clarkson was so talented it was just a matter of time before she was discovered? Or do you feel American Idol was the only way she has became a household name today. It’s pretty interesting that a teenager from Mexico liked her music well enough to upload 3 videos on Kelly Clarkson.

Alex has a lot of things she does well and it’s great to see her get to share her music desires with so many people around the world, thanks to YouTube and the Internet. If your looking in on Single Source Writing Ms. Clarkson, I would love to hear your thoughts on Alex and how does it make you feel that a teenager from Mexico has enough respect for your music; that she has uploaded 3 of your songs to YouTube.

I have just learned some exciting new information on Alex. She is getting ready to start performing at a local restaurant, where she will be getting a taste of singing in front of a live audience. The sensation from YouTube goes down memory lane and introduces us to Fluffy. Hi Fluffy! Alex also discovers she has a doll with no name and request help for naming her doll. Only one suggestion so far at YouTube, so if you have a name for Alex’s doll, then please be sure to leave a reply.

Alex goes on to discuss Barbie and where the future of Barbie’s might be. Now I grew up in total different era from Alex. When I think of the toys I use to have, it’s the video games that stick out the most for me. My first memories of Pong was the greatest! Do you remember the game Pong? It was the first time people could sit and watch their televisions and actually interact with the tv. It was a brand new way to use our television sets. Now you have the Playstation 3 and Xbox that a lot of kids and adults play today. It all started from that little black and white game called Pong. It even had a sound effect “beep” “beep” , it wasn’t nothing fancy at the time, but it’s lead to a billion dollar market in the video game industry today.

Now as much as I loved Pong, the guys from Atari came out with video games for the television. This is where Pac Man made it’s debut to people all over the world. There was nothing better than playing Pac Man. It even had a catchy song that went with the video game that was called “PacMan Fever”. I still know some of the lyrics to that song, I’m sorry to admit. Maybe I could find that song and have Alex sing it? Now that would be funny! Just kidding Alex!!! I wouldn’t do that to ya!

Another fun toy of mine when I was younger was the Hot Wheel cars. I would take these to school and my friends and me would get these Hot Wheel Cars and put them at the top of a slide on the playground. We would let them go and see whose car would be the fastest. At the end of the slide was sand that would often get in the wheels and cause the car to slow down after time. So if you was lucky enough to have the fastest car on the playground, it wouldn’t last long as eventually sand would get to it, and would make someone else the champ. I had a gold car that had the number 8 on it, that I still have today. Everytime I see that Hot Wheels car, it makes me think of the days on the playground where it was the fastest one for a short time!

It’s great that Alex took timeout to make a video of her remembering her toys like this. The internet or YouTube wasn’t around for my benefits, and Alex will be able to look back on this video years from now and have all her favorite toys still fresh in her mind. Thanks for the memories Alex!

YouTube Star Alex has high praises for another fellow YouTube member. Her name is Esmee Denters and she does have an amazing singing voice. Alex has even commented on Esmee to say “she awesome!!!the best singer on youtube i´ve heard“, so this is high praise from one YouTube Star to another one. I thought it would be fun to compare the two. I was able to go back in the You Tube vault and dig up two songs that both of these YouTube stars sing. Each one of them have put out a video at YouTube with them singing Vanessa Carlton’s 1000 Miles.

Now Esmee sings great! She has a great voice and hearing her on the radio would be pleasing to the ears. Now Alex brings in more of a total package, that would be more suitable for a television audience. Watch Alex with this same song and watch the fun she has with it. You will see her start to move her head when the singing stops, and those catchy little music riffs come in. It seems Alex tries to hold back a little bit and doesn’t let her self go, but we get to see those small glimpses of her wanting to have fun with the song. There’s just something holding Alex back from letting go and doing this song with her own style in it. When Alex relaxes and let’s go, is when she will really take off! Keep in mind that Alex is a full 3 years younger than Esmee Denters, so comparing these two right now really isn’t fair, I just wanted to compare the differences in two You Tube stars doing the same exact song.

Hilary Duff’s Wake Up

Hilary Duff better known as the star on the Disney channel’s Lizzie McGurie, has used her tv show to launch her singing career. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Alex from YouTube having a show on Disney one day too! I’m not sure Alex needs a Disney show to get her singing career going, as YouTube has had it’s own success in getting people noticed. The record companies, the guys from Hollywood, and no telling who else is searching for that next big star. Not sure if they are getting lazy, or it’s just that the internet has became a valuable tool for searching out the next great stars of tomorrow.

You don’t have to read between the lines much when you really see someone that has talent. It’s all about finding that perfect place for them, so their talents can be used the best. It’s probably too early to tell if years from now we will know Hilary Duff the singer or just the girl that use to play Lizzie McGuire. She has also starred in some big movies, and maybe we will just know Hilary Duff as the actor. If Hilary does continue to command movie roles from Hollywood, I won’t be surprised to see someone like Alex from YouTube right beside her. I can already see these girls making a movie about some band they have and seeing Alex and Hilary performing their music together on the big screen!
