Have you had a chance to check out the new Windows Vista yet? Do you have any thoughts or opinions about Vista? I can remember getting introduced to computers through the Windows 95. Since everything was so new to me back then, I really never had the chance to get use to it or even comfortable with it. Once I started learning a little more on how to use computers and navigate around the World Wide Web, I was already on my 2nd computer and this computer had the Windows 98 program installed on it. I did have the chance to use this one a lot and I really got use to using Windows 98. Soon other software programs would follow from Microsoft and I would have the opportunity from time to time to check those out. I never really seemed to like the new programs, because I got use to the Windows 98 so much. So to me, the Windows 98 was the best one. I soon would have a conversation with one of my friend’s dad and he told me that Windows 95 was the best one to ever come out. So soon I picked up a pattern about the way different people would have different feelings for each Windows product. It wasn’t really the fact that one was better than the other, but it was the Windows program that people got use to using, that would be the one they would call the best.

So now move into the latest Windows product and we currently have Windows Vista on most new computers that you will go buy now. Currently there isn’t a lot of positive talk about Vista and I believe it has to do with it being new and you have to do things in a new way to effectively use the new Windows Vista. It’s no big surprise to me that a lot don’t really like the Windows Vista right now, but I think in time that will all change. They are young people right now getting a chance to learn about computers for the first time and these people are learning via the Windows Vista way. So give them a few years to get use to things and when Windows releases its next new program to the market, many of these folks will be saying how Windows Vista was the best ever. I have had a chance to use the Windows Vista and for the most part you can figure it out pretty easily. They are some differences from it and earlier versions of windows. I think in time many of these new changes will be for the good and I believe the Windows Vista product will survive. Don’t be afraid to get Windows Vista on the next computer you decide to buy, because it is still a quality product that makes using the computer on the World Wide Web so much better! I think some of the neatest games online is the ones you can share with people that might be in another state or even another country. It’s really cool to see how some of these games let players interact with each other from all over the world. Who ever was the first one to think of this, really did hit the nail on the head. It has been popular right from the start and its only gaining as new gamers come online and discover how they too can play with friends, co workers and strangers that might be located thousands and thousands of miles away.

Who ever invented the GPS tracking system gets my award for the best invention of the 21st century. Those things are real handy and especially for people that like to travel a lot. I read an interesting article about lunar phones. Apparently NASA and the UK are teaming up and going to try and get phones that will have reach all the way to the moon. This appears to be something they can do this century and things should really get rolling around 2020. There was a historic momment in cell phone history when a text message was able to reach the top of Mount Everest. I believe when the first text message is received on the moon later this century, it will top that cell phone momment.

The proposed satellite system is projected for the South Pole on the moon around 2020 and this could enable a new way to communicate globally and into space. The cell phone revolution is here and it looks like it’s only going to increase in popularity and reach with all the modern technology that continues to be developed. The person that does receive that first phone call or text message on the moon, might just be as famous as Neil Armstrong; when he was the first man to step on the moon’s surface. Instead of the famous line “one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind”, the cell phone user on the moon might simply say “can you hear me now”?

I watched an interesting program last night on television. It was talking about all the oracles or prophets over time and how they have made predictions that came true. Many of these predictions are vague and are left for interpetation. So it’s hard to say a lot of these are actually right. They are a lot of different predictions that people have interpeted into our time today; that seem to fit.

Now the one big thing that a lot of different prophets was focusing on was the end of the world. It would occur in the 21st century; which we are now currently living in. They even went on futher in some cases and got to the date December 21, 2012. On that date is when a blackhole in the center of our Milky Way Galaxy will be lined up with the Earth and the sun. When this perfect alignment occurs; it is thought the poles will change places. It’s already believed that this has happened in the past. Some believe that Alaska was once on the equator and could return there again on December 21, 2012.

The poles could change quickly or might take several days to do so. The change will result in mass distinction for a lot of plants and animals currently living on our Earth. This could be the last day for man, but with 7 billion people in the world; you would think a couple of us will survive this big climate change. That’s what they were talking about last night on the History Channel. I guess for now it’s just a wait and see thing. You know this would have to happen on a Presidential Election year too!

Your cell phone, car, remote control, camera and laptop all have something in common. They need a battery to run on. Those are some of the ones that caught my eye. The 38 Pitches is a blog by the Boston Red Sox Curt Schilling and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s blog is Blog Maverick. They would seem like sports blogs, but I guess they have a tech-side for them to appear in the list. The GM Fastlane blog deals with the GM cars and a big board member posts on it regularly that makes it attractive. I really like the name of the Mental Floss blog and is obviously a description from “dental floss”. It was one of the best blogs I seen, based on just the name of it. Be sure to let me know some of your favorite technology blogs.

I have already had lots of fun playing around with it, and I’m sure you will to if you give it a try. Don’t forget to save your work and send it to your friends and show them just how creative you are. It’s really hilarious listening to these characters saying some of the crazy things you can make them say. I took the comedy approach when I made my movie, but you can make yours more of a serious tone. So Coke is giving you the chance to script your own movie and I have no doubts you will love it, if you just give it a try. It’s very simple to do and will truly make having that Coke with a smile!

Well I am sitting in my bedroom now and it’s about 10 at night. I can hear fireworks going off in full effect as the people in my neighborhood are celebrating the 4th of July. Thanks to all the troops and their families that are currently serving in the military and for all those brave men and women that have served in the past. I salute you all and know that we can enjoy the fireworks on this day, due to all your hard work and sacrifice.

I think fireworks seem to go higher, brighter, and louder every year. It’s amazing the way they create those little boogers. I wouldn’t even know where to begin, if I had to create some sort of firework. I just hope it isn’t too dry out there and no fires get started from everyone shooting off their fireworks.

I hear the military has some sort of “firework” (if you know more about this special weapon please chime in) that can create daylight during the night. It is something they can shoot up in the air and will show them where the enemy is at. For anyone that has seen this (which I haven’t) they say it’s amazing at how this type of firework can just brighten everything up and it last for several minutes. I have seen the older war movies where the enemy troops move across a field and our troops shoot one of these up in the air and it exposes them easy for the troops to begin firing at them with their guns. It looks pretty neat on the movies when they do this, but they say the modern technology of these things is really amazing now at just how long and how big of an area it will light up. I wouldn’t mind seeing one of these U.S. Military weapons shot off on the 4th of July, so I could see what everyone is talking about. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

HowStuffWorks is a very interesting concept to a company. Do you know what they do? They simply show us how things work. Now this might not seem like a big deal to you, but there is indeed a market that is needed for this. I have been to countless job interviews and I have done a number of jobs in many different fields. A lot of these jobs will show you some training video or a video on a piece of equipment that you might be using in your future employment with a company. I think it also keeps the companies out of the court room, because they can show documentation that you saw and understood the video.

Now HowStuffWorks is a popular website and is the leading source of credible, unbiased, and easy-understanding to how things actually work. For all the heavy equipment operators out there or people that are wanting to become heavy equipment operators.
