It’s not clear what collegehoops.net saw in one of their reporters from Canada, but he clearly doesn’t have any NBA knowledge whatsoever. He has recently posted an article on June 20th concerning the Atlanta Hawks and what they might do with the 3rd pick in the draft. He’s right that the first two picks are locked up, and the draft will begin with Atlanta’s pick (3rd overall). From there he totally goes in the wrong direction with unnecessary remarks concerning the Atlanta Hawks.

He praises the Phoenix Suns and lashes out against the boys from the ATL. I guess that Mr. Jeff Fox failed to mention a couple of things in his article, which I will do now. Is he aware of the youth in Atlanta and how they have been the youngest team in the NBA for the last few years. No wonder championships haven’t been won in Atlanta, since their fellow big brothers are a lot older and more experienced than them. I wonder if Jeff Fox has any younger siblings or older ones. Maybe he has a big brother or sister that picked on him, and now he gets to pick on someone smaller than him. I guess he got the gig at CollegeHoops.net by poking fun at the little guys. He might want to remember the little guys do grow up some day.

He really thinks Phoenix will end up with a lottery selection next year. He could be right, Nash is starting to age and has lost a step, and the Amare trade rumors continue to swirl, so Phoenix might very well have a lottery selection next year. Suns fans will be happy to know that they will get a 2nd pick in the first round in the 2008 draft next year, since they will get Atlanta’s pick from the Joe Johnson trade. This will not be a lottery pick, because THE ATLANTA HAWKS WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS NEXT YEAR! GURANTEED!

Amateur reporter Jeff Fox has no problems mentioning the Hawks blunders in previous drafts. Yes the Hawks passed on Josh Howard from the Dallas Mavericks, like the rest of the teams in the NBA did too! He compares Luol Deng from the Bulls like he is so much better than Josh Childress of the Hawks.

LUOL DENG Started 82 games (37.5 MPG), 18 points per game, .59 blocks per game, 1.18 steals per game, 7 rebounds a game, 77% from the free throw line, 51% FG percentage from the floor, 2.5 assists a game

JOSH CHILDRESS Started 13 games (36.8 MPG), 13 points per game, .65 blocks per game, 1.05 steals per game, 6 rebounds a game, 79% from the free throw line, 50% FG percentage from the floor, 2.3 assists a game

Now is this really a huge blunder? Which player would you like to have? These stats look pretty similar to me, and I think either player would give you the same production as the other. So calling this a draft day blunder doesn’t make no sense. Jeff Fox also forgot to tell you about Josh Smith who went 17th in this draft, and all the teams that passed him up. Josh Smith was one of the top 3 guys in block shots this year, and he’s only 21 years old! Seems Mr. Knight (Atlanta GM) might have a little luck afterall.

Then he goes on to mention the Hawks passing on Derron Williams and Chris Paul, and selecting Marvin Williams out of North Carolina. I don’t even see how you can start to compare these young guys yet, especially when Marvin was born in June of 86′ and Chris Paul and Deron Williams was born in May of 1985 or earlier. Just another example of how Mr. Fox likes to pick on the smaller kid. I wonder if he was a bully in school? It’s not been determined yet, who got the best player here yet. Check back in 2015 and compare these 3.

I was even amazed to see his article on June 20th, which was so recent. Most people in the basketball circle see Atlanta trading this 3rd overall pick to move lower down in the draft. So not sure why Mr. Fox spent so much time speculating who Atlanta would take 3rd overall in this upcoming draft. This just shows you a good example why some people shouldn’t even be allowed to turn on a computer, much less write a sports article on a sport or a team that he knows absolutely nothing about.

The Los Angeles Laker fans are getting worried as the NBA Draft is approaching. The fans aren’t really concern with who the Lakers might take with their number 19th overall pick, but keeping NBA leading scorer Kobe Bryant on the roster. It’s being rumored now that Kobe wants out of LA. If the Lakers were going to move the superstar out of the gold and purple, it would most certainly be before or during this year’s NBA Draft.

Most are calling this a 2 player draft with Greg Oden going 1 and Kevin Durant going 2nd. Once you get to the Atlanta Hawks 3rd overall pick, then the draft could take any direction. If Kobe is leaving Los Angeles then you have to go right to the top of the draft first.

The Portland Trailblazers have that pick and it would be really hard to trade away a future NBA center that will probably have a 10+ year career as a starting center in the NBA. If they was going to ship Oden out, then it would take a player like Kobe for them to pull the trigger. Portland is very young and adding a 29 year-old Bryant might not make the most sense here.

Then we have the Seattle Supersonics who is on the clock. Kevin Durant falls in their lap with the 2nd overall pick. This could be possible here; if Seattle could add in future draft picks and maybe gets Rashard Lewis under contract. I could see Kevin Durant, Rashard Lewis, and a future 1st round draft pick being enough for the Lakers to bite. Ray Allen and Kobe Bryant would be a tough tandem to deal with, if you could find a way for them to both get their shots each night.

Then you have the Atlanta Hawks who have a lot of young players on their squad. Packaging up some of these players and Atlanta having the 3rd and 11th overall draft picks in this year’s draft, might be able to land Kobe in the ATL. Obviously Atlanta would want to have Josh Smith and Marvin Williams to play along side of Kobe, so the current players of Josh Childress and Shelden Williams might be in the deal with the 3rd overall pick.

It should be interesting to see what team Kobe is on after this year’s draft. If Kobe is still a Laker the Friday after the draft, I think Jack and all the Hollywood stars that make up LA’s season ticket holders, could breathe a sigh of relief.

One thing that I really enjoy doing is going to the sports bars and playing trivia. I don’t drink alcohol; it’s always just sweet tea for me. I like it with a lemon too! If you never went out to some public setting before and played trivia, then you’re missing out. We have a fun time doing it.

Now the people that you go with or meet up with at the place you are playing trivia, will be the people on your team. In most cases there are no limits to the size of your team. So the more you have the merrier! Now questions will range from music to sports to geography to science to television to movies and just about anything else. My specialty is sports. As long as the sports is football, baseball, basketball, nascar, or hockey. I’m not big on the golf, bowling, or my most hated sports category, which are the Olympics. I don’t think Olympic trivia questions are good, since they only happen every 4 years.

One of this years vacation destinations will be Yosemite National Park. We recently moved from the East coast to Washington State and I have always wanted to travel to Wyoming and view Yosemite Park. Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck take shots at each other in a heated debate on ABC’s The View. Now Rosie made a rhetorical question, and was wanting Elisabeth to answer it. Elisabeth didn’t really choose to answer the question, prompting Rosie to refer to her as a “coward”. Now Elisabeth took that as an insult, and gave it right back to Rosie.

The whole thing doesn’t make much sense. Rosie is wrong for thinking Elisabeth is a coward. However, Elisabeth is wrong thinking she has to defend herself in the manner she did. If someone calls you a coward, and there really isn’t anything there to support it. Then it’s not really going to make you mad. If you run in a burning building and save some people, then someone calls you a coward. Your not going to be offended, because you are going to know that your heroic efforts weren’t the act of a coward.

So I really think both women are wrong, and all of this might be getting more attention than it deserves. Since Rosie has recently had a feud with Donald Trump and now this one. Makes her look like someone that just wants to argue all the time. Also, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a cutie. So many people will take her side based on her cute looks over a heavy-set woman, that has less adoring physical features. Rosie is leaving in the next few weeks from the View. So the extra attention might can help her, in any other television adventures she might have up her sleeve.

Below is not the latest episode in this feud. This is an earlier show of the View, and might show that there was sparks leading up to this latest event. So this can give you a sense on how Rosie and Elisabeth have different oppinions. It might be as simple as one is democratic and one is republic. Then it can just purely be a disagreement on the way they view the war on terroism.

The legend of D.B. Cooper still lives today. Which is actually Duane Cooper, but was mistakenly named D.B. by a newsreporter, and the name has stuck. D.B. Cooper did one of the most amazing robberies in American History. He first hi-jacked an Northwest Airlines flight 305 that was leaving Portland and bound for Seattle. He was sitting in Seat 18C, wearing sunglasses and a dark suit, handed a flight attendant a note. It said he had a bomb and threatened to blow up the Boeing 727 unless he received $200,000 cash and four parachutes when the plane landed. The man in Seat 18C purchased his ticket under the name “Dan Cooper.”

When the plane landed in Seattle, DB Cooper was given his parachutes and the 200,000 dollars that he requested. He released about 3 dozen passengers, and a couple of the flight crew members. He then instructed the pilot to fly toward Mexico, and at an altitude of 10,000 feet. Somewhere along the journey, DB would jump out of the Northwest Airlines Plane and would parachute down with the money with him. He done all of this the day before Thanksgiving in 1971.

The FBI started a massive manhunt for D.B. Cooper, that lasted for several months. It was a very costly manhunt, as they were using so many resources to capture the man that got away with 200,000 dollars of cash. Nothing from the investigations ever help to capture D.B. Cooper. Now more than 3 decades later, there’s still not much new in the case.

There are several people that have claimed to be D.B. Cooper, but nothing has materialized yet. The FBI has 2 canidates that they have strong suspicions about. Then just recently a couple of amateur investigators made a segment on Entertainment Tonight. They are claiming a resident in Oregon is D.B. Cooper, and have even written a book about it. The man does fit the profile, since he is a skydiver, and has been in trouble with the law before. He also called the FBI, just 2 hours after D.B. Cooper had jumped, saying that it wasn’t him, and if they needed any help, he would be happy to. This man from Oregon was apparently struggling for money at the time, and later on was able to buy over 30 acres of land with his own personal airport on it.

Another famous claim, was the death bed confession of a Florida man. He was on his death bed, and told his wife, that he was Duane Cooper. His wife didn’t know what that meant at the time, and later on, found patterns that was consistent to what her late husband was saying. The picture of this man back around the time in 1971, is a close resemblance to the sketch artist drawing of the skyjacker.

The case still remains listed as an active FBI Investigation, and nothing has been closed on the D.B. Cooper Case. It’s the only sky-jacking in the world, that has never been solved. Below is actual footage one day later of the news report on the situation:

The Golden Gate Bridge which is located in San Francisco, was built on May 28th, 1937. The bridge which has a world-wide fame, will be turning 70 years old later this month on May 28th. It was built to help connect San Francisco with Marin County. No one could ever imagine that this 1.7 mile long bridge would hold such a prestigious landmark 70 years later. While the bridge has been considered a romantic place of travel, it has a darkside too.

The bridge has become one of the most popular places for people to commit suicide. In fact, there is no where on earth that more people go to die at, than the Golden Gate Bridge. People every year, and just about every month take a leap off the towering structure. It’s about 220 feet from the water at the center-span of the bridge. People’s fascination with the bridge, and getting to the lowest point in their lives is making this bridge a leap of faith for many. Some have survived the plunge off the bridge, but most are killed instantly. The hard impact shatters bones, and send them flying internally in the body, and usually punctures a main organ or causes enough damage that the jumper never takes a breath again.

The conditions in the water make it hard to retrieve the bodies that the bridge leaves every year. Not all bodies are found, leaving the Bay as a graveyard to those that didn’t think that life had nothing else to offer them. While many will be celebrating the bridge turning 70 years old later this month, it will be a grim reminder to the families that have lost loved ones from the Bridge. While the bridge has survived through earthquakes, experts don’t think the bridge would hold up if the epi-center of an earthquake was nearby. Designers are hard at work to get a better structure in place for the bridge, before it is too late.

It’s telling us that our appearance is less important than our inner beatuy. There is a saying “Love at first sight”, that is really true. We are naturally attracted to people by their outter beauty first. We start trying to learn their outter beauty, before we get the chance to know their inner beatuy. There’s nothing wrong with that, and it doesn’t make us shallow. It’s just a simple fact, that it’s easier to love someone attractive, than someone that’s not. It’s the same way about someone’s attitude. If someone is cocky and think they know it all, we won’t like this person as well as someone that is more quiet and considerate.

If you get the chance to know someone, then looks do become less important. For any relationship that last for a long time. It will have to have two people that get along with each other way past the looks part. So beauty might be a quick love source, but inner beauty is the lasting love that you will have to seek, for a long and fruitful relationship.

Just seeing a love note can sometimes inspire us to do something similar for our loved ones. Doing something romantic for your boyfriend, girlfriend, or spouse doesn’t have to be original. I like to play bingo. I’m not into playing it for fun, but when there’s money you can win, I like it. Now you probably have a place that plays bingo near you. Perhaps the local Lyons Club or a Moose Lodge is in your area that has a weekly bingo night. Also, it’s common for fairs and carnivals to have bingo, where you can win prizes that got donated to them.

Now playing for the money is the fun part. You might think of playing bingo is for the old folks. Yes, there are many elderly people that do play bingo, but there’s a lot of younger people too. In fact, you even see kids running around some of the bingo halls. So it’s an activity that all ages have learn to love. Not much learning needed when your winning money, but I can see that a lot of people just enjoy it. It’s something to do, and usually you can find a place that plays through the week. There’s not much entertainment normally through the week, so bingo offers a nice little form of enjoyment. It’s at least something that can get you out of the house.

Now I guess all areas are different, and state laws are involved too. I believe in Georgia it’s something like $1300 is the most you can give out on a single night. So usually we will have about 5 games of bingo, for amounts of $50 or $100, and then one big jackpot bingo. The jackpot is usually 500 to 700 dollars. So winning the jackpot, could make an ordinary weeknight, seem like a Saturday Night Special!

Now if the only way you know how to play bingo, is getting five in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) then you have a lot to learn. They have many different types of games they will play. So this is a long game, and normally they will call out about 60 numbers before they get a winner. Then you have some games, where you don’t even mark all your spots. A small picture frame for instance, is just getting all the numbers around the free space. So no B’s or O’s are needed, and your middle rows, you don’t need to mark the very top or very bottom numbers. You only mark the ones around the free space, and the first person that gets the small picture frame wins. Then the large picture frame, would just be getting all your outter numbers marked. So not only do you use the B’s and O’s in the large picture frame, but you have to get the whole columns before you can win. So learning all the different games can seem a bit hard at first, but there’s always somebody that is sitting near you, that will help you out. That’s one good thing about bingo.
