Finding Time to Eat
Posted on February 18th, 2010 at 1:41 PM by admin

The way my schedule has been going lately, it’s hard to even find time to eat. I have so much work to do and there just aren’t enough hours in the day to finish it all. Sometimes I wake up and roll right out of bed and come straight to the computer. I will put in 8 to 10 hours of work, before I even realize that I haven’t ate anything today. Usually I get one of those little headaches and when I start wondering where it came from, is when I figured out that I forgot to eat today.

I could use a little more organization in my life and that would help save me some time. I still don’t think I could complete everything I need to do on a daily basis. There is no such thing as weekends in my life right now. I work just as hard and long on the weekends as I do through the week. I guess if we humans didn’t have to eat, that would save me some extra time. However, I do enjoy eating and especially when it’s some really good food. I do try to treat my self from time to time with a really nice meal from a restaurant, but it’s probably going to be awhile before I can do anything like that. So for now, I will just have to keep my nose to the grindstone and keep working as hard as I can and maybe one of these days I will be able to catch up and take a deep breath.

Are Ya Blogging?
Posted on December 9th, 2009 at 3:01 AM by admin

If you haven’t started blogging yet; then you really should. A blog is a great marketing tool to use online and anyone can do it. You can find free places online to start a blog and it doesn’t cost any money with these places. It is better to have your own unique domain name and host the website yourself. I know some people would have a hard time creating their own blog and hosting does cost money. If you can’t afford it or don’t have the knowledge to have a blog on your own domain, then do a search for the free blogs you can find online.

After you get your blog, try to post in it regularly. The search engines like to see fresh content being updated frequently. You can also add referral links in your blogroll to various programs. This is like having your own downline builder, but it’s a page that shows all your money making websites or the websites you have interest in promoting.

Be sure to add those banners in the HTML sections of posts. Some programs offer banners you can use for promotional materials and they will give you the HTML codes that’s easy to place in blog posts. If you just have a banner link, then you can save the banner picture to your computer and then upload it to your blog that way.

Pictures in general is a great way to spruce up your blog. You want to hold traffic as long as you can on your blog. Adding pictures is a great way to accomplish this. Be sure to try and add a few new pictures to your blog every week. This will help attract traffic to your blog and also give you longer visits to your blog posts.

So if you haven’t started blogging yet; then you need to start now. It’s time to catch up to the rest of us online marketers and a blog is the perfect way to start. You will love the benefits a blog can give you, once you give it a little time to work it’s magic. Try to be as active in your blog as possible and this will help a lot. Good luck to all the bloggers out there and let’s continue to provide the fuel for search engines and make the World Wide Web a blogger’s world.

Pin stripe nation is happy as the New York Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2009 World Series. It’s just one more championship the Yankees can add to their collection. It was a great baseball series between these two teams and really both teams are winners. The Phillies got to enjoy their ride this year, after winning the 2008 World Series. Now it’s the Yankees turn and the American League gets a chance to bask in all the glory.

The boys of summer start in the early spring and work their way through the dog days of summer. As the temps fall lower and the cooler nights of fall weather sets in; is when we get a chance to see October ball or early November baseball. A long 162 game season is the amount of games it takes to just determine the playoff teams. After our playoff teams are in place, we then get to see more baseball action. A big game was held in July that might have helped the Yankees to win this year’s World Series. The 2009 All Star Game was won by the American League and this gave the NY Yankees home field advantage in the World Series. This was important this year and perhaps the Philly fans could have enjoyed back to back World Series titles; if the National League would have won the All Star Game in July. It’s over now and we have crowned a new champion in baseball. The N.Y. Yankees are your 2009 World Series Champs! Congrats!

I wonder what bloggers blog about the most online today? I would imagine money ranks high if not the highest. Everyone loves money and it’s what keeps the world turning these days. It is only natural that bloggers would talk about money, show ways to earn money, or use their blogs in some monetary means to pay for domain and hosting costs.

I think current events is another topic that does well for bloggers. Talking about the latest news is always a good way to drive extra traffic to your blogs. You can still keep your niche intact and just sprinkle in blog posts about the latest news going across the Web or on the news. People will be more likely to visit your blog from the current event posts you write about and perhaps they will notice the other things your blog offers when they arrive.

The key is to get more traffic coming to your blog and writing some blog posts outside the theme of your blog is fine. You do need to have a main topic or two that the search engines can identify your blog from, so you get the higher rankings in the search engine listings. What are some more popular topics that bloggers like to blog about online today?

I don’t think celebs and movies is a bad idea and these are a couple of more topics that can drive more viewers or readers to your blog. If you take the time to blog about things, you do want people to eventually read what you said. Your main theme may not be enough to get traffic coming to your blogs, so going off-topic every now and then is ok. Many bloggers have a great skill in the topics they choose and couple this with their writing skills have made their blogs very successful. A successful blogger in some ways can be determined by the number of hits their blog gets. Some bloggers have the knack of driving traffic to their blogs and they don’t have the best writing skills in the world. These bloggers have been very creative in generating new visitors to their blogs, but if you want people coming back; then you need to write about interesting and popular things.

The title of your blog post and the subject matter is crucial for today’s bloggers. Many bloggers find it hard to get ranked on the search engines and struggle to find new ways of generating traffic to their blogs. If you’re a patient blogger and have great writing skills; then people will eventually discover your blog. It can take more than a year in some cases to establish enough links in the search engines, so you’re having a consistent stream of traffic coming to your blog. You must blog daily or about 3 times a week to achieve that steady stream of traffic.

The favorite topics for a blogger really isn’t that important. It’s the favorite topics for readers is the ones you need to key-in on and this will reap the best rewards for a blog that gets visited many times each day. Keep a positive outlook and don’t give up and you will soon be able to reap the rewards of your hard work. Just check out the popular search engines and see what people are doing internet searches for. This is a great way to learn about the “favorite topics” of readers and bloggers can capitalize on this, by blogging about the subject in their blogs.

Christmas Traditions
Posted on December 15th, 2008 at 4:53 PM by admin

What do you or your families do every Christmas? I know we go shopping, buy gifts for each other, visit relatives and eat a big dinner on Christmas Day, but what is that 1 thing you or your family does that most wouldn’t do every Christmas? Is there something that has to occur before you can truly call it Christmas time? I know every year we see a few Christmas commercials that come on before Thanksgiving Day and I can’t get into the Christmas spirit until Turkey Day has passed us by. Black Friday follows Thanksgiving Day, so a lot of people get launched into the Christmas spirit right after our Turkey Thursdays.

My Christmas traditions seem to revolve around Christmas songs. I love to hear Christmas music every day leading up to Christmas Day. Once December 26 arrives, I don’t want to hear any Christmas songs being played anywhere. I have a couple of songs that I really like to listen to and I must hear them every year in order to celebrate Christmas properly. The Christmas song about a hippopotamus for Christmas and Christmas in Dixie by Alabama are two traditional songs that I must hear every year before December 25th. I have heard both of these songs for over 10 years now and I plan to keep this tradition going for at least 10 more years.

I have grown to love another Christmas song that many may have not heard of before. This is an Italian favorite for Christmas and I’m sure most Italians or people with some Italian blood will already know the song I am talking about. It’s the Dominick the Donkey Christmas Song and it really is a cute and catchy song, after you listen to it a few times. We don’t have a large Italian population in Georgia and I have never heard this song on the radio before. I’m sure it’s been played a few times over the air waves here, but I doubt many from Georgia would be familiar with this Italian classic. The Italian Donkey song has been around since the mid 60’s, so it’s not a new song, just one that isn’t played during the holidays. I believe Dominick the Donkey is going to join my other 2 Christmas songs I consider tradition and I will now have 3 songs that I must hear every year before I consider it Christmas time. I have heard all 3 of these Christmas songs for 2008, so I do consider it Christmas time now!

Please be sure to share your Christmas traditions and leave a reply to this blog post, so I can see what others do every year. I want to know about the little things and what you look forward to each year, during the days of December leading up to Christmas Day. It doesn’t have to be something big or grand that you consider a Christmas tradition. You can see that my Christmas spirit is dependant on Christmas songs and just being able to hear a couple of songs make it Christmas time for me. So the smaller your traditions are each year, is the more I want you to reply and let me know what it is. I know as a kid I had to see Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman on television before I could celebrate Christmas. As an adult now, I think Chevy Chase’s National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is a traditional-like movie for me now. That is a great movie and I think it does a great job of showing what Christmas is like when you have a lot of relatives over. I know on Christmas Day we will get to see 24 hours of a Christmas Story and this has become tradition for me too and I like leaving the television on that channel for the entire day.

Is your Christmas tradition surrounded by a Christmas song, Christmas movie, or perhaps you just like taking a ride through a certain neighborhood to see the Christmas lights and decorations on the houses? You may choose to always go eat at a certain restaurant while shopping and this is your Christmas tradition. Leave a reply and let me know about your Christmas traditions. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Saturday will be a fun day in the Peach State as both of our top 2 college teams will be in action today. The Georgia Bulldogs will face the South Carolina Gamecocks and this will be the toughest match up for them this year. They will have their kick off the same time as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be kicking off against Virginia Tech. Both of these games will start at 3:30 local time and this means a lot of work with the remote control and trying to keep up with the action in both games. The Georgia Bulldogs are the top team in the nation and the Yellow Jackets are a top 25 team this year and maybe after Saturday, the state of Georgia can lay their claim on both of these titles.

College football is different in Georgia than anywhere else in the country. It’s a religion here and when we don’t get proper justice in the rankings, we let it be known. The best college football talent remains in the South and we prove that every week, yet the rankings still show teams from all over the country. The team’s that play on the West Coast and in the North do not have the talent to match up with the teams in the South. We are college football and deserve a bigger share of the pie and these people that think they know college football, continue to put the southern teams down. We have the bowl games to prove where the best college football is at in the country and Georgia is in the center of the best college football in America.

I have recently heard several reports that cell phones could be a danger to our little ones. Cell phones are still new to our society and enough time hasn’t passed yet for us to have a clear idea on the health risks associated with cell phone usuage. Apparently they are signs of radiation entering the brain when we talk on our cell phones. This could lead to humans having more brain tumors in the future and that seems to be the biggest concern right now. Since kids are still growing and haven’t fully developed their bone structure yet, it could possibly be doing them more harm than we know. A young child’s skull is much thinner than those in adults and the bone density could be a factor. Radiation from cell phones might be harming us all but the kids might be getting the worse of it.

If radiation from cell phones concern you and now you’re worried about your child’s safety, there is other people out there that totally deny these allegations. Some people say the radiation is so small coming from cell phones that it would take more than 100 years to see any effects from it and these would be the people that use cell phones constantly. Our own sun sends down radiation daily and if you walk outside, you are more than likely getting some. That is the reason we have all of the sun tan lotions and sun blockers on the market to help prevent some of these harmful rays. No one should be spending most of their days in the sun unprotected, because we know this is not safe. Maybe until we learn more about the radiation associated with cell phones, we should limit our use of them each day. Sometimes it’s better to be safer than sorry and I think this would qualify for one of those times.
