Well I was able to find a good deal online last Friday and decided to purchase a 14″ gold pan from a website. To my surprise, it arrived on Monday and I was happy to finally have my first gold pan ever! I’m not an experienced gold miner by no means. I really never had an interest in panning for gold, even though it is quite common to find small amounts of gold in North Georgia where I live. I haven’t found any of the yellow metal yet, but I will continue to search all over the creeks, rivers, and their banks on my quest for finding some big nuggets of gold. The reason I want to pan for gold now, is due to the prices of gold. It wasn’t too long ago, we saw gold selling for $300 to $500 an ounce. In just the last 3 years, these prices have doubled and the current prices show gold selling for over 1K an ounce! Why isn’t everyone out searching for gold? I know everyone isn’t lucky like me and live in an area rich in gold. I would suggest for these people living in non-gold areas in the U.S., to start investing in gold. You can buy gold bullion and this is a great way to get your feet wet in the current gold craze that is sweeping the country and worldwide too. Analysts don’t see gold staying at the current prices, even though they seem outrageous now. Gold is still poised to go higher and a struggling economy makes gold that much more attractive to buy. Investors can reap some big profits, if gold sees new highs in 2010 (which they’re knocking on the door now). Don’t wait for gold to hit $1500 or $2000 an ounce. You can invest now and the gold you buy will retain a real value; unlike a piece of paper that says you own so many shares of stock in a certain company. I absolutely love the gold and other precious metals market right now and you can benefit too; if you choose to invest in gold bullion.

Consumer Outlook for this Summer

I know the shoe companies that produce flip flops and sandals always love this time of the year. They are able to market their footwear to a large consumer base. These consumers have two feet also, so you know the shoe companies get to “pair” (pun intended) their profits. Yes, we have two eyes too, but a pair of sunglasses is actually only one item. I realize shoe companies don’t just sell customers one shoe. You have to buy both shoes and they won’t give you half price, if you only take one shoe either. Still the advantage goes to the shoe companies, because they are producing two products; compared to the one production item that comes from the companies who make sunglasses. Still both manufactures do well during the summer months; since people going to the beach will have their shades and a pair of beach sandals on. The consumer outlook for sunglasses and shoes are certainly bright this year and no matter how bad the economy gets, these two manufactures will continue to thrive.
Vince Gill Coming to Larry’s Country Diner?

Well I haven’t seen anything official, but it would only seem natural that superstar Vince Gill will soon make his debut appearance at the Diner. I know Vince is really active in the Country’s Family Reunions and he seems to cross paths with many of the stars and legends that appear on that CD collection. In a recent episode of Larry’s Country Diner; while paying tribute to one of the legends that is no longer with us, you got to see Vince Gill and it looked like he had the best seat in the house. The person working the camera also made the extra effort to get as many shots of Mr. Gill as possible. In a room that was filled with stars, this tribute video that was shown on Larry’s Country Kitchen, seem to show Vince Gill as the biggest star in the room. I know a lot wouldn’t agree with that and even Vince his self would tell you that he’s a couple of rungs down from some of the big names that were present that day.
Why is Vince Gill wanted or needed for a guest appearance on Larry’s Country Diner? It’s because I have an invite from Renae the Waitress and I would like to save it for a very special edition of Larry’s Country Diner. I will just have to see if there is anyway I can find out the details and book my spot in the audience, for the day that Vince Gill walks into the diner and sings his signature song. Vince Gill was asked if there was any one song that described him or what song would he most want to be remembered by or associated with years from now. It didn’t take him long to reply and he did pick the song, Go Rest High on the Mountain. This is a beautiful song and probably one of the most requested funeral songs for a non-religious song. Vince isn’t the only one who has recorded or sung this song, but he certainly puts a smooth edge on it, like no one else can or hasn’t yet.
So it’s very important for me to find out when this modern day legend of country music steps foot into Larry’s Place. I would certainly do everything in my power, to make Blogger Chris’ debut the same one as Mr. Gill. Larry’s Country Diner is a one-hour program that comes on RFD-TV or the Rural TV channel. If Vince Gill shows up, they might extend the show and add an extra 30 minutes to 1 hour. It would probably be hard to pick which song Vince would sing second at the Diner, but it would be hard to overlook his first big hit When I Call Your Name. He is a member of a very exclusive club that is better known as the Country Music Hall of Fame. Vince Gill was welcomed into their very proud circle back in 2007, so with that status being on his resume, he can pretty much sing whatever he wants.
Hopefully for my sake, Larry and the Gang can get Vince to come in one day and tape a special edition of Larry’s Country Diner. If it was up to my mama, she would just assume to have the Coal Miner’s Daughter walk-in. She is a big fan of Loretta Lynn and it would be a big treat for her to see Loretta sing in person. If you knew of a certain time and date that you would be walking into Larry’s Country Diner; which performer would you most like to see performing? You can pick any performer that is still living and able to perform; who would you select?
