I will soon be leaving south for the beaches in Florida in the Daytona area. I have been there before and it was a fun time. There is a lot to do in central Florida and Orlando has everything in the middle of Florida. Daytona is about an hour away from Orlando and Daytona is located on the eastern side of the Florida Penninsula. The most famous landmark in Daytona is the race track that NASCAR uses. There is two NASCAR events held at Daytona each year and they are both big races. The Daytona 500 is like the Super Bowl for NASCAR and it’s the very first race of the season each year. The 2nd race is held around the 4th of July and this is like the midway point to the racing season, like the Major League Baseball All Star Game that is held each year in July. So without question, the International Daytona Speedway Track in Daytona, Florida is the main attraction.

So those are a couple of things I look forward to, when I make my trip to Daytona in June. I will be gone down there for a full 7 days and I can’t wait. I really need the time off from work and I am over due for a vacation. I haven’t been on a good vacation in the last several years, so I think I will make sure to make the trip down to Florida with my family this June.

It’s great for everyone to have a credit card and they can be very useful to have, if you use them properly. Some folks get in trouble with credit cards, because they purchase things they don’t really need or can’t afford. I always thought it was funny in the past when gas prices would go higher. Most people would stop going out to eat or wouldn’t go to the movies why gas prices were up. It seemed like everyone would cut out other things in their life, but driving less was not one of them. Now prices are around $4 a gallon in most places and people have no choice now, they have to stay at home more. I know I have not made trips recently because of the high gas prices that just keep going up. I believe gas prices are going to keep going higher and they will probably level off at the $4.40 a gallon mark for this summer. Prices will drop again in the fall, but look for next summer to see the prices go back up again. I believe the way things stand right now; we should be look at $5.75 a gallon for the summer of 2009. So why 4 dollars might seem like a lot this year, let’s just be thankful that it is still under 5 dollars a gallon. A new president isn’t going to affect the oil prices and this is mainly due to the fact that the world-wide supply of oil is running out. Gas prices will never be under 2 dollars a gallon again!

EXPLODING STARS BIRTHDAY CARD

It’s that one special day we all have and it’s our own personal day; that would be our birthday! Now you can really make someone’s day special if you don’t forget them on their birthday. Sending a special birthday card like the one above is a great way to start. You don’t have to write anything fancy on it, but personalizing a little message inside of it is a great touch! Cards Direct has a ton of birthday cards to choose from and I would recommend starting there first. If you will choose to buy a bulk of birthday cards, that will save you more money that way; then just buying them one at a time. A birthday card these days cost around 4 dollars each, but choosing to buy them at a bulk rate at a place like Cards Direct can make each card less than 2 dollars each! Cards Direct also makes it easy to go through and personalize your birthday cards and they can even get your return address added on to the envelope. It won’t take long to go through a bulk of birthday cards, when you consider all the family members and co-workers you can send cards to. So don’t worry about sending the same birthday card out to the same person, because you will probably be out of cards before a year is out anyways. So go find the birthday cards that you like best and this will get you started in the right direction for that someone special, who has a birthday coming up soon.

Once you have that special birthday card, feel free to send them another gift along with it. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive, but that little something extra shows them that you care and it will help make their birthday seem special. We only get so many birthdays in this lifetime and the more we have that stick out is going to be the ones we remember the most.  You can play a big part in that process, if you will take the time and come up with the right ideas for your friends and family birthdays this year. Give them a day that they will remember for a long time and try to be creative on their birthdays this year!

A great way to get out and enjoy the great outdoors is going to a local park and taking in some fresh air. If that park has a lake with it, then be sure to bring some crackers or bread crumbs so you can feed the ducks. The kids love ducks and they will like it even better if they can actually feed them. I know most parks that have a lake tied in with them, do have ducks there that you can feed. Sometimes they might be off on flight, but there’s a good chance if you know where there is a park at with a lake, the ducks won’t be too far behind. My twin 3 year old nephews love to go outside. We took them to a park when they were a little younger and they loved seeing the ducks. We didn’t really have anything to feed them, but the ducks thought we had food. So try to load up the kids some day and take them to the park to feed the ducks. I’m sure they will enjoy it as much as you do and just watch the smiles on their face.

Searching for a good hosting company to put your blog or some other website on can be hard sometimes. You want to pay a cheap rate, but you also want the most benefits as possible. Just because a hosting company is cheaper, it doesn’t mean they are better in terms of service or what they offer. You will want as much bandwidth as possible, so you don’t have to worry about too many visitors coming to your website at one time and causing it to go down. So lots of bandwidth is important and you want as much of that as you can get.

I found a website that helps you find cheap web hosting or will compare hosting companies for you, so you can see which one might benefit you the most. It’s a good idea to check out the cPanel Tutorials, so you can gain the knowledge of choosing a web hosting company that is good for you. The main site is not ready to go live yet, but people searching for the best hosting companies out there are going to love it and the way it breaks down and grades different web hosting companies. Right now you can find a lot of good information on cheap web hosting and there is some great information to be learned on different web hosting companies.

If you haven’t got a web hosting company yet, be sure you do your homework first. You don’t want to start your website on one and then transfer it to another web hosting company because they offer more things or have it at a better price. So take a little time and scout out all the different web hosting services that are available and decide on which one might be best for you.

Well according to the last two digits of my social security number, I was suppose to get my tax rebate check back on May 9th. I get it electronically zapped into my bank account, but that didn’t happen on May 9th. So I am still waiting for my share of that money that we are suppose to get back. I know a lot of other people that want or need that money to, so the waiting game is on for the tax stimulus rebate checks.

I owe my parents some money, so they are going to be getting most of mine. I think I will get about 20 to 30 dollars out of the check once it gets here, but even though it might not be much, I will still put it to good use. I have a lot of bills that need paying, so I hope I get that government check soon, so I can start knocking out some of these debts. Please be sure to let me know if you got your moeny back from the tax stimulus rebate checks and what you plan to spend your money on. Thanks!

Life in Vegas
Posted on May 19th, 2008 at 5:06 PM by admin

There is no doubt one of the best places you could ever travel to is Las Vegas, Nevada. There is so much to do and see out in the desert, you would have no problems trying to find Things to do in Las Vegas. The city is always full of life and after midnight is when the party begins in Las Vegas.

The memories you have from a trip to Vegas would last a life time and you would never forget a trip or trips that you made to this awesome city. Going to Vegas with about 8 of my friends was the best trip I have ever made and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Many of my buddies that made the trip with me, would also say the same thing. If you ask us to describe our trip, most of us start with the same thing and that would be the girls! Forget the pool at the hotel, the entertaining shows and all the casinos Vegas has to offer; it’s all about the women for us! We had such a fun time talking and flirting with all the lovely ladies in Las Vegas, that it has made us want to return back there again some day. Since I am a single guy, Vegas makes perfect sense for me. It might not be the best place for a married man to go, but if the wife will let you out of the house, I strongly recommend a trip to Las Vegas. You will find dozens of beautiful women out there and deciding on which one you want to spend the most time with, is going to be your only problem. The women are everywhere in Las Vegas and you won’t have to search hard to find 2 or 3 dozen of them.

If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas in the near future, please be sure to check with Trusted Tours & Attractions before you go. They can help you with your hotels, flights to and from Vegas and they will also show you ways to save money during your trip to Las Vegas. They will also make sure you get with the right sightseeing tours so you don’t miss a thing and can experience all the great attractions Las Vegas has to offer. Making a trip to Las Vegas is a once in a lifetime thing and everyone needs to do it at least once in their life. If your ready for Vegas now, check with Trusted Tours & Attractions first, because they cover a lot of major cities and they can help with Las Vegas or show you things to do in Los Angeles for example. I saw an interesting article today on MSN.com. They were showcasing 10 extreme roller coasters and they had some mean looking roller coasters on there. I like to ride them ever now and then, but I’m not a huge fan of roller coasters and I do have a fear of heights. So most roller coasters would just have to take me up in the air 100 feet and they would have me scared already. Some of these extreme coasters aren’t just about height, but it’s the speeds they travel at, that make them extreme coasters. You also have to factor in the coarse these coasters take and just how many bends and loops they have in their way. I would ride any one of these 10 roller coasters, but if I did them all in one day, I would probably never ride another one again. Here are the ten coasters that MSN.com listed on their page today.

10. Beast – Ohio – Speed 64.8 MPH

9. California Screamin’ – California – Speed 55 MPH

8. Voyage – Indiana – Speed 67.4 MPH

7. El Toro – New Jersey – Speed 70 MPH

6. Titan - Texas – Speed 85 MPH

5. Goliath – California – Speed 85 MPH

4. Millinnium Force – Ohio – 93 MPH

3. Superman: The Escape – California – 100 MPH

2. Top Thrill Dragster – Ohio – 120 MPH

1. Kingda Ka – New Jersey – 128 MPH

Can you believe some of the speeds these roller coasters get up to? I think it’s amazing to think that a roller coaster can go over 70 MPH and many on this list do that and more! As you can see most of these roller coasters come from the states of California, New Jersey and Ohio. I guess these are the main states that have the roller coaster riders in them or attract visitors out of state, so they can ride these extreme roller coasters.

The Kingda Ka is not only the fastest roller coaster in the country, but it is also the tallest coaster in the United States at 456 feet tall! You talk about a roller coaster that is the meanest and extremist of all; I think you would have to award that to the Kingda Ka. If you would like to ride this awesome roller coaster, you will need to go to the Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey and this is where you will find the Kingda Ka. This ride will only take 28 seconds to ride, so it’s very short time, but you can expect to go from 0 to 128 miles per hour in only 3.5 seconds!

If you don’t want to jump on the biggest and best right away, they are some more roller coasters you could try on the list first. If you did make the trip to New Jersey to ride the Kingda Ka, you could also make plans to ride the El Toro in New Jersey. You will find the El Toro Roller Coaster in the same Six Flags Park that has the Kingda Ka, so you could get two great roller coaster rides just by visiting the Six Flags in Jackson, New Jersey. The El Toro is the fastest wooden roller coaster in the country and it can travel at 70 miles per hour!

The story of Howard Hughes continues to live on and just as strange and mysterious as his life was while he was alive; it seems to get even stranger after death. It’s been said that Howard Hughes passed away in April of 1976 and I’m not even sure this is correct. It wouldn’t surprise me if the late Mr. Hughes died after this death date and to me that’s a mystery in it self when did Howard Hughes die?

One man in New York tried to write an autobiography for Howard Hughes and had Life Magazine convinced he actually had contact with Mr. Hughes. This turned out to be a false claim and through series of clever circumstances, the man in New York and his friend did get away with this scam for a long time.

When Howard Hughes was reported to have died in April of 1976, this brought in another twist to the legend behind the late billionaire. Melvin Dummars claimed that he picked up an old man in the desert during December of 1967. He picked the old man up near the Lida Junction in the Nevada desert and that man claimed to be Howard Hughes. Melvin Dummars was only 22 years old at the time and drove the billionaire Howard Hughes to the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. About 9 years later a mysterious stranger dropped an envelope off at a Utah gas station that Dummars was running at the time. He took this letter to a religious group and it was said that the estate of Howard Hughes was to be awarded to 16 individuals with Melvin Dummars as one of the 16. After the courts in Nevada disclaimed Dummars attempts and said the will was a forgery and was not the writing of Howard Hughes, the billionaires money has yet to be claimed today.

According to the will, Melvin Dummars would receive 156 million dollars from the money that Howard Hughes left behind. While this might be the most famous claim and this was helped with a 1980 movie called “Melvin and Howard“, it is still today the most legitimate claim. I think no one deserves the money more than Melvin Dummars and the courts in Denver now need to overturn Nevada’s ruling back in the 1970’s and let 156 million dollars in the Howard Hughes will go to Mr. Dummars. He deserves the money as much if not more than anyone else on record today. While it’s hard to prove his claims that he picked up the billionaire in the desert back in 1967, there just isn’t enough evidence on record today to disprove his claims. A former milkman from Nevada and now driving a frozen pizza truck in Utah, Melvin has seen his share on the roads I’m sure. He has spent a lifetime on the roads around where Howard Hughes was living and traveling and his story is believable to me. I think the courts need to correct an error in ruling all those years ago and award the money to a man that has probably seen a lot of things on the roads during his days. Melvin is a much older man now; compared to the days when he was in his twenties and working all the graveyard shift hours to provide for his families. I think Melvin Howard is a legitimate person to claim the money from the Howard Hughes estate and let’s hope the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver see it this way. No one can provide solid proof that Melvin Dummars is lying and that’s proof of enough for me, that after all these years that no will has turned up that has been more convincing that the one left by the stranger at a Utah gas station all those years ago.

If you like shoes and need more than one pair, then I have a great recommendation to make! Infinity Shoes has a wide assortment of shoes and boots to choose from. Yes boots, you can get a nice pair of minnetonka boots at Infinity Shoes along with all the other great footwear they offer. Anybody that takes the time to look around will find a pair of Keds, Toms, Bronx, Clarks or Camper they will like. They even have seychelles shoes available and you will find 7 different styles in this brand alone!

I have some young ladies I am good friends with and one of them has a birthday fast approaching and I think I found her a pair of boots she would love. You can find them under the Frye brand and it’s listed as Harness 8R. I think all young gals would like a pair of boots like this to wear to school or out to the mall or movie theater when they are roaming the town with their friends. I’m sure if one girl in the crowd gets a pair of boots like this from Frye, all their other friends will want a pair too. These stylish boots would make a great birthday gift for a woman or a girl in high school too! If you would just prefer a more relaxing type of footwear, be sure you check out the tsubo shoes. A lot of different styles they offer too and their shoes all look very comfortable on the feet. You will find many more brands and styles at Infinity Shoes and if you have an extra minute or two, stop by and see what I am talking about!
