Alex Goes Down Memory Lane

ALEX AND HER TOYS

The sensation from YouTube goes down memory lane and introduces us to Fluffy. Hi Fluffy! Alex also discovers she has a doll with no name and request help for naming her doll. Only one suggestion so far at YouTube, so if you have a name for Alex’s doll, then please be sure to leave a reply.

Alex goes on to discuss Barbie and where the future of Barbie’s might be. Now I grew up in total different era from Alex. When I think of the toys I use to have, it’s the video games that stick out the most for me. My first memories of Pong was the greatest! Do you remember the game Pong? It was the first time people could sit and watch their televisions and actually interact with the tv. It was a brand new way to use our television sets. Now you have the Playstation 3 and Xbox that a lot of kids and adults play today. It all started from that little black and white game called Pong. It even had a sound effect “beep” “beep” , it wasn’t nothing fancy at the time, but it’s lead to a billion dollar market in the video game industry today.

Now as much as I loved Pong, the guys from Atari came out with video games for the television. This is where Pac Man made it’s debut to people all over the world. There was nothing better than playing Pac Man. It even had a catchy song that went with the video game that was called “PacMan Fever”. I still know some of the lyrics to that song, I’m sorry to admit. Maybe I could find that song and have Alex sing it? Now that would be funny! Just kidding Alex!!! I wouldn’t do that to ya!

Another fun toy of mine when I was younger was the Hot Wheel cars. I would take these to school and my friends and me would get these Hot Wheel Cars and put them at the top of a slide on the playground. We would let them go and see whose car would be the fastest. At the end of the slide was sand that would often get in the wheels and cause the car to slow down after time. So if you was lucky enough to have the fastest car on the playground, it wouldn’t last long as eventually sand would get to it, and would make someone else the champ. I had a gold car that had the number 8 on it, that I still have today. Everytime I see that Hot Wheels car, it makes me think of the days on the playground where it was the fastest one for a short time!

It’s great that Alex took timeout to make a video of her remembering her toys like this. The internet or YouTube wasn’t around for my benefits, and Alex will be able to look back on this video years from now and have all her favorite toys still fresh in her mind. Thanks for the memories Alex!

Best Buy Stock Update

I hope everyone took my advice several days ago to purchase or increase your position on the largest electronic dealer in the world. Best Buy announced today that it plans a buy back in their stock that will total around 5.5 billion dollars. Also they will increase their dividend 30 percent and this sent this stock higher today. Best Buy recently missed analyst forecast and it sent the stock down sharply. The recent news today has helped to correct to stock more, but Best Buy is still selling under $50 a share. If you can still get in on Best Buy for under $50 a share then continue to buy this stock. I see this stock in mid November as a stock in the low sixties and could even be around 65 to 66 dollars a share come November. I am very bullish on the stock and the news today just makes my thoughts on the stock even stronger. Opportunity still remains for Best Buy and if you missed my earlier recommendation for the stock, there is still time. In fact, I will remain bullish on the stock for anything under $50 a share. This is an excellent short term and long term investment and I wouldn’t be afraid to have my portfolio as high as 40 percent on this stock for at least the remainder of this year.

Baseball Card Collectors Wait

They are waiting on 1 thing. It’s to see if Barry Bonds can do the ultimate thing in baseball. He is looking to be the new homerun king of major league baseball. Right now he is at 749 homeruns, which is 6 away from matching Hank Aaron’s career total. He will need that 7th homer to have the record all to his self. Now what will Bond’s baseball cards do?

It’s not clear right now how much they will go up, but card collectors are hoping they double over night. I was a bit too young to remember what Hank’s cards did when he surpassed the Babe. Then again, it wasn’t like there was really a market for baseball cards like they are now. The prices have been steadily going up, but I think when he hits 756 will mark a significant increase in the market. I think I might try to dump my cards of him while he is hot. I think Alex Rodriguez will eventually be the homerun king that I go to my grave knowing. Arod is on a tremendous pace to be so young, and the way he is hitting them out of the park this year, there’s no reason to believe he can’t hit at least 800 homeruns. I’m not sure if Barry will make it to 800, but if he does it would be a low 800 number. Congrats to Mr. Bonds if he does indeed hit 7 more homeruns, and a better congrats to all those card collectors that have been saving his cards since the late 80′s!

Add Plenty of Keywords

The problem with a lot of websites today not getting listed or showing up in search results can largely be attributed to the keywords. Most people will only use a few keywords in their meta tag and it doesn’t give you website great odds of being seen. If add more of a variety and adding a word or two with your keyword, can make it show up more in search engines.

I have seen those SEO tips that say only choose relevant keywords and don’t over do it. I have found that to not be good advice through my experiments. I have found that the more keywords I choose, the more times my website gets seen on the search engines. Not to mention that it has a higher rate of traffic on the websites that have plenty of keywords in the meta tag. There is several places that allow you to create free meta tags on the internet. Some of these only allow you to add a certain amount of keywords. Stay away from these, and search for a meta tag generator that will allow you to add in as many keywords as possible.

If you are selling widgets, then add a few words around it, that you might think people would search for.

As you can see I added extra keywords around my main keyword and made the widgets much more appealing to searches that might be done on widgets. I realize Britany Spears is searched a lot on the search engines. Avoid adding keywords that aren’t relevant Britany Spears Widgets, Widgets by Britany Spears, etc…, things like that the search engines will penalize you for. Just find good keywords and take your time. There is no way you should be able to create a meta tag in less than 10 minutes. It should take you at least an hour so you can put down all the great keywords that are available for your product or service. There are tools that are free to use, that can help you find key search terms for your keywords. So search for these tools too, and I think you will notice a big difference in a few weeks!

Dish Network Refuses Customer Service

The satellite company of Dish Network has refused to answer any questions through their email support. They just keep directing you to their phone support. I’m not sure why they offer an email support service when all they do is send you to the phone support system.

After getting my original questions directed to phone support, I sent in other questions that were very easy to answer just to see what kind of response I got. No matter how simple the question I sent in was, it still got directed to the Dish Network phone support.

I’m not sure why Dish Network offers an email support system when they refuse not to answer any questions from it. If you are an employee at Dish Network and you work from the support system by phone, you might want to know the email support guys just send all questions your way. If I was you, I would start directing my callers to the email support from Dish Network Satellite Company. Those guys are making you work harder than you have to.

The new HD (high definition) promotion that Dish Network is currently running has no support with it. They make it look like they do, with a simple to use contact button on their website. When you click it on, it has “HD Programming” in the title, so you know it’s going straight to the high definition support from Dishnetwork. However, once you ask them a question through it, they just tell you they can’t answer that here, and that you will have to contact phone support.

Guess what? Dish Network just lost a HD upgrade from me, and I am right now checking out Direct TV’s offers and promotions and I might just change satellite companies all together. I would not suggest using Dish Network if you are looking for a satellite provider. Just go with Direct TV, because there will be times you need support and Dish Network isn’t going to give it to you. They outsource their support services overseas, so not only do you have to speak to someone that has poor english, but you have to do it because the guys in the email support are just milking the clock and won’t help you at all!
