In the world of selling I have read and trained on Spin Selling and the model is great. It is very detailed on how to win in the big accounts, and manage large accounts. Spin Selling will help you achieve:

• Plan for a successful sales call that moves the sale forward

• Ask the right questions during each phase of the selling process

• Avoid objections by offering true, needs-based solutions

• Uncover real client needs that motivate your customers to buy

Are you getting linked?

Friday, April 20th, 2007

If you are looking for a new way to get Quality News , one link at a time then LinkCritics.com could be your spot. They allow readers to post stories and then discuss and rate those stories by other members. This site is similar to the popular site digg.com, and still building up their base. As your story gets more votes then it moved to the front page for more visibility. They have a pretty interesting feature in that when you place your mouse over the linked article, it actually shows a snapshot of the site. Very interesting. Check them out today and see what is new.

Your internet Ad on the radio

In a move to expand their services for their advertisers Google will be expanding to the radio airwaves. It was not explicit if they were going to be going into satellite as well as regular radio. This is an interesting move in that radio is going through some major changes in order to compete with satellite. With the move to High Definition radio, this may be an avenue that will appeal to some advertisers and give them more avenues to selectively target their audience. The uptake of HD radio remains to be seen if consumers will trade in their radios to the new more expensive models.

Search engine marketing

In the world of online business the goal is getting visitors to your site, but more importantly the right visitors. Take the social network sites like MySpace and Facebook for example. They built the site that would attract young college age kids to share and create their own space online. Originally MySpace was developed for unknown bands to create a presence and share their music with new fans. Their content was constantly changing and the customers were driving that change. While these sites were largely grown through word of mouth, most online businesses will need the correct Search Engine Optimization techniques to help you get noticed in the search engines. You need to develop loyal customers that find value in your offerings, and then will come back and tell their friends.
